Arkansas, Kansas the last two for Savion Williams

— Marshall, Texas, three-star wide receiver Savion Williams is a young man of few words, but exceptional talent.

Williams (6-4, 195) took his first official visit this weekend to Arkansas and enjoyed at least one new thing.

"The highlights were... eating a lot, partying, throwing axes,” Williams said. “We went to the Ozark Axe House. I got used to it.”

Williams is being recruited by Arkansas running backs coach Jeff Traylor and wide receivers coach Justin Stepp.

“My relationship with the (Arkansas) coaches is tight, we're really close,” Williams said. “We talk all the time. They've given me a good idea of where I'll fit in but we didn't sit and watch tape yet."

Williams has visited several schools unofficially and will follow up his Arkansas visit with one to Kansas and head coach Les Miles next month.

"It was a nice time, it was probably one of the best I've been on,” Williams said of the visit to Arkansas. “I'm going to Kansas in June, Coach Miles talks to me a lot and tells me he wants me to get up there."

Arkansas and Kansas are the last two schools he is considering after also thinking about offers from TCU, Missouri, Baylor and others.

"I plan to make the decision in June,” Williams said.
