Arkansas softball, tennis announce fall schedules

Published: Friday, August 17, 2007 PRINT E-MAIL

The University of Arkansas softball and tennis teams announced their fall schedules this week. Softball hosts four tournaments at Lady’Back Yard beginning Sept. 15, and tennis plays its fall season on the road with the first tournament Sept. 14.

Lady Razorback softball opens hosting Connors State, Carl Albert and Evangel at Lady’Back Yard Sept. 15 and follows up with Northeastern Oklahoma A & M, Texarkana, and Tulsa Sept. 23. The Lady’Backs then welcome Crowder, Northeastern State and Seminole State Sept. 30.

“ I’m excited about the fall schedule, ” said head softball coach Jamie Pinkerton. “ With several Division I teams coming in it will prepare us for our spring schedule. The variety of competition will also allow us to get a good look at our players and see where our freshmen are, and where we are as a team. ”

Arkansas concludes the fall season Oct. 6 at Lady’Back Yard with games against Oklahoma State, Rogers State and Missouri State.
