Fans asked to wear pink to Ladyback-UGA game for breast cancer awareness

Published: Thursday, January 10, 2008 PRINT E-MAIL

The “ Think Pink” initiative is a global, unified effort to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campus, in communities and beyond. Nearly 600 NCAA member colleges and universities are participating in a “ Think Pink” initiative in their communities in 2008. Nearly fifteen conferences are participating as well, including the Southeastern Conference. The University of Arkansas’ Women’s Athletics Department is partnering this year with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure—Ozark to bring this event to the community. Help create awareness and generate funds by buying one or many T-shirt packages and attending the Lady’Back basketball game vs. Georgia on February 7, 2008.

A portion of the proceeds generated from the sale of t-shirt packages (the package includes admittance into the game when the t-shirt is worn ) will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure —Ozark, which provides breast cancer support in Northwest Arkansas.
