UA GOLF : Landry falls in Round of 16 at U.S. Amateur Published: Friday, August 22, 2008 PRINT E-MAIL Razorback golfer Andrew Landry advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2008 U. S. Amateur Championship at the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in Village of Pinehurst, N. C. The PING honorable mention All-American fell to Morgan Hoffmann, the secondranked junior player in the country, 2 & 1 later in the day. In the first round, Landry defeated Scott Langley, 2 & 1. He never trailed in the match and built a lead as much as 4-up through the 12 th hole. He clinched the win with a par on hole No. 17. In the next round, Landry beat the University of Florida's Billy Horschel, 5 & 3. The two were all square through two holes before Landry took control and sealed the victory with a birdie on the 15 th hole. The 2008 U. S.
