Published: Sunday, September 14, 2008 PRINT E-MAIL

The University of Arkansas volleyball team put together a dominating performance in a three-set win over Lamar at the Arkansas Invitational in Barnhill Arena Friday.

Arkansas (2-6 ) downed the Cardinals (2-6 ) 25-21, 25-12, 25-20 notching the first home win of the year and the first home victory for head coach Robert Pulliza.

“ Any win is a great win and to win at home is even better, ” said Pulliza. “ We came out ready to go and played very consistent tonight. ”

Arkansas mixed up the lineup a bit to start the match with junior Kristin Seaton and senior Christina Lawrence both starting. Lawrence has been slowed with injury while Seaton has moved between the hitter and middle positions.

“ We are trying to find the right role for Kristin right now, ” said Pulliza. “ She’s been very flexible for us doing whatever we need.
