BATON ROUGE, La. — The University of Arkansas volleyball team is looking to regroup and return to the win column as it continues Southeastern Conference action at LSU today in Baton Rouge, La.

Arkansas (4-10, 1-3 SEC ) is coming off a tough loss Friday in which the Razorbacks fell at Georgia in three sets. Although Arkansas lost the match, the Razorbacks hit well with a. 330 mark but the defense struggled getting out-dug by more than 20 by the Bulldogs.

“ Our defense didn’t get the job done Friday, ” acknowledged Arkansas head coach Robert Pulliza. “ We were really good defensively against South Carolina and good offensively at Georgia. We just have to put both sides of the game together. ”

LSU (7-5, 2-3 SEC ) is coming off a solid league win over Ole Miss in three sets Friday night. The Tigers are lead by Brittinee Cooper with 2. 49 kills-per-game and a. 349 hitting percentage while Kyna Washington leads the team with 127 kills and a 3. 43 kpg average.

“ LSU is a quality team, ” said Pulliza. “ They have the advantage of playing at home and they are coming off a win. We are going to have to play great volleyball and limit our mistakes on Sunday. ”

Senior Christina Lawrence has led Arkansas since returning to the lineup after an early season injury. The Sullivan, Mo., native is averaging 2. 59 kpg and hitting. 251 this year.

Arkansas will need all of that team effort in Baton Rouge today. The match is televised by CST and airs live at 1: 30 p. m.
