LOS ANGELES — Seniors from the University of Arkansas were knocked out of the Riviera / ITA All-American Women’s Championships on Friday.

Senior Razorback Aurelija Miseviciute, ranked No. 1 in singles, was unfortunate in losing consecutive tiebreaking sets against No. 20 Kelcy McKenna of Arizona State, 7-6 (4 ), 7-6 (4 ). Although Miseviciute dropped her first singles match of the fall in heartbreaking fashion during Friday’s second-round, there is still a positive outlook.

In the consolation draw of doubles, Miseviciute and teammate Ela Kaluder fell to the No. 18 Baylor duo of Lenka Broosova and Csilla Borsanyi, 8-5. The Arkansas pair, ranked No. 10 nationally in doubles, is still sitting on 60 career wins, one shy of becoming the all-time leader for doubles wins in Razorback women’s tennis history.

Arkansas’ next fall event on the schedule will be the Rebel Classic in Oxford Miss., on Oct 10-12.
