Henderson resigns as UA head soccer coach

Gordon Henderson has resigned his position as head coach of the University of Arkansas Razorback soccer team it was announced by UA athletics director Jeff Long on Thursday.

Henderson recently completed his fifth season at Arkansas. The Razorbacks compiled a 41-49-5 record in his five seasons. Arkansas finished 11-8 this season, including a schoolrecord 9-1 start. The Razorbacks finished 4-7 in Southeastern Conference play, but failed to qualify for the SEC Tournament. Arkansas’ last appearance in the conference tournament came during the 2000 season.

Long announced that the search for Henderson’s replacement will begin immediately.
