No surprise others taking notice of Long

Stanford is a great school. I lived in Manhattan Beach (near LA) for 5+ years and that is where my heart is (beach-wise, weather-wise) but, California is going the way of Greece...economy awful, mean, bad (successful) businesses/people leaving in droves to avoid monster taxes now and worse in the future (to feed the ever-growing entitlement mentality). Long would have to be willing to take a cut in pay (after taxes) to go to Stanford...don't see that happening.

Petrino law doesn’t extend past departure

Well, it is so clear...the all-white racist media made them do it. One thing DM fails to realize is most of the media (including the sports people) most assuredly voted for Obama. I bet even they are fed up reading DM's constant racist whines. I would love for the people DM is denigrating to come out and give their past voting record and their current leanings. People like DM really keep this country divided.

UA's Smith invites media in

OK, Tom, Nate, Wally, et al,
Get in there and get info I like to have (regardless of actual relevancy). I'd like to know their true heights, weights and weight room improvements. Weigh'em in their jockey's...get their heights without their cleats on. Get these vital statistics before and after spring practice, once during summer workouts and again just before first game. Just do it!

3 Hogs suspended after theft charges

"...identified by security video in the Northwest Quad dorms, where the burglaries occurred...Peterson’s suite on the Northwest Quad".

So, are we to understand these crooks stole from some of their own teammates!? If so, there is no way they can be let back on the team! Imagine the dis-harmony!! If they stole from non-players then maybe let the victims vote on whether they want these guys to remain on campus and maybe come back to the team after a 1 year suspension. I doubt any of them would stay if suspended for a year regardless of victims vote. And, of course Long should have final say even if vote suggests forgiveness.

UA pursues more Memphis prospects

Frazier, 6-4, 330...get this guy some tutors and accelerate his graduation day by one year...we could use him 2013 and besides, I am not getting any younger and may not live to see him play through 2017!
Robinson, 6-3, 215 pounds, 4.50 seconds in the 40-yard dash...245-pound bench press, a 405-pound squat and 37-inch vertical leap. Gotta have this guy right away, too.
C'mon Marcus and Josh, give an aging fan a thrill in his last few years!

Stanek yields to Baxendale

"Junior left-hander reliever Cade Lynch has been experiencing some arm soreness and fatigue".
I do not understand "fatigue"...has he been running marathons after each game? Seriously, he may have an undiagnosed problem unless fatigue refers strictly to his arm...if it is just his arm he must be throwing too much other than actual time on the mound in games. I am baffled.

Old Hogs weigh in on tumult

Now, now drscottymac the the liberal press can't go around quoting a Republican in a positive manner...it upsets their agenda. If he makes sense better to call him a Democrat and hope no one notices.
