SON-OF-A-BITCH II what the hell is going on? This is getting out of control! Are we cursed? We finally get in position to win it all and things are going to hell in hand basket before the season even gets here. At this rate we won't have enough players left to play a damn game.

Smith on Petrino: We haven’t talked
Can we stop bashing Bobby Petrino? Please? The man had his faults like we all do, he couldn't please everyone. Talk to fans who know the inside stuff on Saban or Miles, they have detractors too. We should all be grateful for the 4 years we had BMFP!! HE put us back at the top of college football, not J Long. All we can hope for now is someone who can build on the foundation he laid. Realistically, it's hard to find two coaches in a row who can keep it going. But I sure pray we can. GHG, WPS!!!

A good care-taker hire. Familiar with players, coaches, all things Hogs. No ego or expectations, he will let coordinators call plays and he will handle PR, manage, get everyone on the bus, etc. I'm ok with it. He is INTERIM!!

Notes connect dots for Petrino, Dorrell
Sounds like Dorrell was the aggressor. It was not the first time a hot young woman has used her wares to enrich or advance herself, won't be the last. Saw it happen many times in my career. She shouldn't have been paid a dime to leave town. Say a prayer for Coach and Mrs. Petrino and the children.

In a holding pattern
McGee may turn out to be a great head coach someday. I just think it is beneath the dignity of the UA to have to take an unproven asst and let him learn on the job. Anyone remember Jack Crowe? We are a MAJOR program. We can do better than that and I believe Jeff Long knows it. Especially with the money we can offer. If we can't get a 1A head coach now then go with an interim from the staff for this year.

I trust Long but I don't like reports that McGee will get the job. UA deserves and warrants an experienced and proven head coach. I like McGee down the road after he has proven himself elsewhere. Recruiting will take care of itself if a top tier coach is named in December. There will be enough quality talent that will still want to be Razorbacks. I'm sure Jeff Long won't settle for an unknown or unproven candidate just to shore up early recruiting.

Practice refuge for Hogs
Sounds like we have a lot to be proud of-both players and asst coaches. Paul Petrino sure has a positive attitude. I for one am pulling for him to have a great season running the offense. The two years at Illinois will surely have helped prepare him this situation. He is balancing his loyalty to his brother and to the team he obviously cares about. I would hate to be in his shoes. Good luck to you Coach Petrino!

Long didn’t err in hiring, or firing, of Petrino
MSH, ok troll, who is YOUR team? Or what rag do you write for? How do you think Petrino made an ass of "everyone here and "they" still want him back?". I wish I could use the language here to tell you what you can do. It's very similar to what Dorrell did for Petrino, but you can do it to yourself. Sucker.
