Well, this will make football game tickets even harder to buy on game day in Fayetteville. Now all the Fayetteville relatives of these three local players will definitely buy a big block of tickets. Buy tickets now!
This could be the start of something good (song melody).
StLouisHog, Jeff Long gave John L Smith a 10-month contract for a reason. Jeff Long is within his rights to chose exactly the long-term coach he wants as our next Head Coach after this season is over, with Garrick McGee in the mix at year's ending. It will work smoothly because Jeff Long set it up that way ahead of time.
I'm excited for August football practices to begin, but will just have to wait.
Jackabbott, the only SEC Championships that we won in the ten plus years BEFORE Jeff Long became athletic director were in Field and Track. Al least he's holding his own.
HogAuthority and I like the direction and accomplishments of the Razorback programs under Jeff Long, and I bet you do too Jackabbott.
Keep it country. That's what I'm talking about, Jack.
Wouldn't be surprised to see the Razorbacks give scholarships to more than the usual number of Junior College transfers this year. This article mentions several.
But Wally, the two coaches' salaries won't be the same, if coach JLS takes Arkansas to a BCS bowl...a BCS bowl is not even a remote possibility at ASU.
I enjoyed the play of Devonta in his Freshman year, and also feel that in his Sophomore year he'll be even better. Personally, I feel this was Abron's choice to leave alone...being with how we lacked big men.
HogAuthority and jordan are going to go ape over this transfer, because they have been clear on their desire for "more big'uns" needed on our team. We'll get some big'uns when Coach Anderson gets his reputation at Arkansas as a proven winner established and broadcast nationally.
Abron could also play for Coach Larry Brown (a la previous Kansas and pro coach). Brown is the "new" coach for SMU bb in the heart of Dallas.
Abron's a bona fide bb player and competitor that I wish we could have kept, but best of luck to Devonta on family health issues and new team as he departs America's greatest on-the-rise bb team, the Razorbacks. GHG
Wally, good investigative reporting. After Petrino left Louisville, that the succeeding Coach Steve Kragthorpe had to kick 20 of Petrino's recruits off of the team does have relevance at Arkansas.
The Arkansas football team could still have "a few" disciplinary problem athletes playing on the team in addition to the six arrested in the past two months. Only time will tell. Not only is JLS not to be blamed as you mention, he must be supported in harsh dismissals from our football team as necessary to keep the players in line.
If a large number of "discipline problem" players have to be kicked off of the team for behaviors that cross-the-line, then that could have been a major factor as to why Jeff Long hired an interim coach.
8-5 or 12-1 season? The magnitude of the "discipline problem" players kicked-off of our Razorback team will help determine if the Razorbacks go 8-5 this year or 12-1. However many, disciplne should rule!

No surprise others taking notice of Long
Diversity, you are too kind to me, but I appreciate it. We both, along with HogAuthority, stand for integrity too. Let's keep on truckin'.

Forward says he’ll be a Hog
HogAuthority, we cannot turn down a sharp thinker like you. I've got to see you on court in those stack heels. You can be a "coach" on the court.
