Why is the statement about Malzahn and Smith's salary at the end of the article, right after horse talk? It should have been up near the discussion about Malzahn's salary. Basic English 101. Please retire Wally.
@DiversityMatters said "...it is now time for the NCAA to start paying these players a few dollars to avoid these incidents from happening." 00000000000000000000000000000000 Sir, that is the most obsurd statement I have ever read and I have seen some crap on the internet. You should retract it without excuse. Paying athletes is one issue, but saying it needs to be done to avoid these type of acts is ludicrous.
I don't hate him, never have. He IS an outstanding coach. But I fully support his dismissal and he most certainly let us down. How can you not see it any other way? He lied to his boss (who we pay), reporters (who share information with us), players (who he mentors), his staff (who depend on him) and yes to us fans (who pay his salary). He had to face the consequences of his actions. There was no other way it could be done. It's history, and I'm looking forward to this season, even without him, which is my first as a season ticket holder! WPS, GHG!
Nitehog, B&E is not a minor crime. There is not an acceptable excuse for this so please don't offer up excuses. BP is gone, and that ought to serve as a very clear lesson to those who think its ok to do these knucklehead actions.

UA's Smith invites media in
Everyone knows that. It's a slow season for football writers. Unless you report on the police blotter.

In a holding pattern
I'm fine with McGee. Big name, big money coaches don't always work out anyway.

Players’ objective still same
Great attitude from the team. Now, we fans, need to have the same. The sky isn't falling.
