Mallett named National Performer of Year
It's nice to see awards like this coming in. Especially when you read on ESPN article comments, about how people outside Arkansas bash Ryan's chances of being mentioned in the Heisman race. Awards like this clearly show that he should be mentioned among the very top next year.

Razorbacks To Play In Memphis
The Big 12 probably is the 2nd or 3rd best conference year in and year out. While I think it would be cool to make the switch and be in the top 3 within the conference each year, I can't bring myself to say that we should. The SEC teams would say we couldn't handle the challenge. Our recruiting could go either way. A lot of kids want to play in the SEC. If we were competing for the conference championship each year in the big 12 it might be about the same. I don't know. I can see the pros and cons.

COMMENTARY: Pelphrey Risks Record
cndhog, I agree with you. Welsh is the worst excuse for a leader we could have. We just had a complete lack of leadership, and for the young players, you can see where that leads them. The poor choices have been everywhere. You can't expect the coaches to be able to keep an eye on them 24-7. That's where upper-class players have to step in and be role models. That's how a good team works, but you can see that's not happening. Sad...

With guys like this coming in, you have to cut Pelphrey a little slack. Things aren't looking too great this year, but I think he will put the pieces together very soon.

I think the question is how would any of you that are complaining about Pelphrey handle the situation he is in? What would you do to discipline these guys?
