I'm 100% in agreement that this isn't really our business. But, after I've read some of the reader comments on other stories I'm amazed. We trash some of the young men because they've left the team or been kicked off. Readers speculate that they were lazy or this or that. What do we know? If we're going to give this young man a free pass because we like his dad (and I do), why do we feel free to tee off on the others?
One of the reasons that the defense will have a hard time statistically is that they are on the field so much. A fast-scoring offense doesn't leave the defense a lot of time to rest. Three yards and a cloud of dust, plays keep away with the ball and the other team has no offensive statistics. It's tough to have great statistics on both sides of the ball, even if the defense is much better.
I just wonder how that will play out in the longterm as far as recruiting goes. Will they be able to get topnotch running backs to come to Arkansas when they know they may not get 10 carries per game?

LIKE IT IS: Saban hard to like, but he’s earned respect
One thing that I've respected about him is that he's passed on two chances to run up the score against Arkansas.

Ferguson foresees Mallett going pro
You can be better than the '64 team and still have a worse record. The schedule is probably much harder than back then.

LIKE IT IS: 2010 recruits more functional than flamboyant
How are you going to get running backs and receivers to come when you got a stockpile of young backs and receivers already?
