John Smith Long’s choice to lead Hogs

I think it was a fantastic decision. Coach Smith has seen it all in coaching. He will not get rattled, he knows his assistant coaches, he knows the athletes, he knows the system and he knows how to win. In my book, that leads to a National Championship.

Won’t fight UA firing, Petrino says

"Meanwhile also Thursday night, UA released a flurry of text messages that Petrino had sent after he was put on paid administrative leave April 5. They show that he was becoming increasingly concerned about Long’s investigation of him and about his future as the Razorbacks coach."

The first statement you provided a few days ago said it was from his phone, now you say that he made all of the calls. Have you not ever had someone use your phone?

Secondly you a say that "They show that he was becoming increasingly concerned about Long’s investigation of him and about his future as the Razorbacks coach." I don't know how those call say that he was concerned about Long's investigation since you didn't hear what was said.

Just a few observation about your reporting.

Petrino on leave, admits to crash lie

John 8: 2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

or at him in this case.

Petrino hails class, even as big one gets away

We don't need 5 stars to make a national champion. The 5 stars are too much prima donna and not enough team work!!! With Petrino's strength and conditioning program and coaching these 4 and 3 star jocks will all be 5 stars in 2 years.

Arkansas heading to the Cotton Bowl

I got my BS from Arkansas and my MS from KSU so I know both schools well. It will be a good ball game, with Arkansas coming out on top.

Pass the calculator

I agree with Petrino. Don't worry about all that other stuff, just win the rest of your games including LSU and good things will happen.
