Cornelius, 6-1, 190, 4.48 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Shreveport (La.) Evangel said he’s seen Peavey’s video highlights and is impressed.

“I’m always wowed out with all the crazy stuff he’s done,” said Cornelius, whose the teammate, defensive back Santos Ramirez is also committed to the Hogs. “He’s a great player.”

He like Peavey plans to sign financial aid agreement with the Hogs and might do so on Dec. 5 when Coach Bret Bielema and receivers coach Michael Smith are expected to visit the school.

Cornelius said he and Peavey have grown close after talking on a regular basis and have plans to room together at Arkansas.

“Rafe is a real cool dude and I’m looking forward to playing with him next year and getting some balls next year,” Cornelius said.

Cornelius is optimistic that his class can come in and help turn the program around.

“I really think me, Rafe and Santos and all the other top rated recruits coming in next year are really going to change it around,” Cornelius said. “Turn it around for good. “

He said he and Ramirez are aiming to take their official visits on the Dec. 6-8 weekend.

“In talking to Santos, whenever we take our visits we’re going to take it together,” Cornelius said. “And try and get Rafe Peavey down there to come with us on our official visit on the 6th.”
