Monday recruiting tidbits

Linebacker Porter Gustin is on Arkansas' radar.

Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema will visit with one of the top prospects in the nation on Thursday.

He'll do an in-home visit with highly recruited Utah linebacker-defensive end Porter Gustin, said his father, John.

Gustin, 6-4, 238, 4.63 of Salem Hills High School has scholarship offers from approximately 35 schools, including Arkansas, Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Ohio State, Arizona State, UCLA, Oregon and Florida State.

Arkansas defensive line coach Rory Segrest is expected to visit the school and home of defensive lineman T.J. Smith on Monday.

Smith, 6-3, 260, 4.89 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Moultrie, (Ga.) Colquitt County is committed to Vanderbilt but plans to officially visit Arkansas, Wake Forest and the Commodores in January.

Arkansas running back commitment Rawleigh Williams of Dallas Bishop Lynch said running backs coach Joel Thomas will visit the school and his parents at their jobs on Wednesday. He will officially visit Arkansas Dec. 12-14.

Arkansas tight ends coach Barry Lunney is expected to visit Highland to see receiver commitment Deon Stewart today.

As reported last week, Bielema and offensive line coach Sam Pittman are expected to do an in-home visit with offensive lineman Jalen Merrick of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. today.

Defensive cooridnator Robb Smith will visit the school and home of linebacker commitment Derrick Graham of Wauchula ((Fla.) Hardee today.

Linebacker coach Randy Shannon is expected to do an in-home visit with cornerback Jeremiah Dinson of Miami American today.

Shannon did an in-home visit with Miami Washington linebacker James King on Sunday. He said he'll officially visit Jan. 16-18.

Linebacker Juwan Taylor of Hallandale, Fla. said Shannon did an in-home visit on Sunday. He's committed to Georgia.

Taylor called the visit great. He's considering a visit.

Conway and Arkansas offensive line commitment Colton Jackson said Pittman will do an in-home visit on Thursday.

Hog tight end commitment Will Gragg of Dumas said Lunney will visit his school and home on Tuesday.

Defensive backs coach Clay Jennings is expected to make an in-home visit with safety Kahlil Haughton of Waco Midway Tuesday night.

At this point, it doesn't appear the Hogs will host any visitors this coming weekend, but that could change.

A large group of recruits will visit the Dec. 12-14 weekend. A lot of the commitments are expected to be on hand along with several others.

Running back Patrick Carr of The Woodlands High School in Texas said Thomas will visit his school today.

Offensive cooridnator Jim Chaney is expected to visit tight end commit Austin Cantrell of Roland, Okla. on Friday and afterward visit with his parents.

Star City junior offensive and defensive lineman Austin Capps said he expects Lunney to visit his school this week.

Defensive back Nathaniel Dalton of Houston Cypress Falls said he received an offer from Arkansas on Sunday. He talked about his interest in the Razorbacks in Sunday's Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Dalton, 6-3, 195 pounds, 4.50 seconds in the 40-yard dash, also has scholarship offers from approximately 10 schools, including Oklahoma, Utah, Kentucky, SMU, Washington State and New Mexico.

Jennings is expected to visit his school this week.

Bielema and Smith will visit defensive line commit Hjalte Froholdt of Bradenton, (Fla.) IMG Academy today.

Arkansas, Ole Miss and La. Tech are expected to visit Junction City this week. Hog commitment JaMario Bell said Lunney will visit.

1:25 update

Arkansas tight ends coach Barry Lunnry Jr. will visit North Little Rock on Wednesday to see receiver commitment K.J. Hill. He will also make an in-home later in the day.

Razorback Coach Bret Bielema and offensive line coach Sam Pittman just finished up an in-home visit with offensive lineman Josh Allen of Jacksonville, (Fla.) University Christian.
