Wednesday recruiting tidbits

Highly regarded safety DeShon Elliott, who calls Arkansas his dream school, is looking to visit the Hogs on March 1.

Two of the top prospects in Texas are looking to visit Arkansas in the near future.

Safety DeShon Elliott 6-1, 205, 4.53 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Rockwall, (Texas) Rockwall-Heath said there's a a good chance he'll visit Arkansas on March 1. He has offers from Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, TCU and Iowa. He plans to visit Texas this weekend and expects to receive one from the Longhorns.

The Hogs appear to be on the verge of offering and might do so when he visits.

Elliott, who has cousins living in Rogers, has attended family reunions in the city in the past. He said he grew up watching the Hogs and called Arkansas his dream school. He knows Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones looks hard at Razorback players and he hopes to play for Dallas after college.

While high on Arkansas, Eilloitt said he would wait it out and let more offers come in before talking to his parents about a college decision.

He plans to major in architectural design and believes Arkansas has one of the better departments in the nation. He said he's been talking to running backs coach Joel Thomas.

Defensive lineman Darrion Daniels, 6-4, 290 of Dallas Bishop Dunne is also looking at March 1 as a possible date to visit Arkansas. He said he and his father plan to talk about a visit. He has about 20 offers with Arkansas being one of them. He's the teammate of Hog offensive line signee Jovan Pruitt. Thomas is also the lead recruiter of Daniels.

Linebacker Quarte Sapp, 6-2, 200, 4.65 of Alpharetta, (Ga.) Milton said he planned to visit Arkansas this weekend but he has basketball game in Saturday. He has numerous offers, including Arkansas. Former cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson was his lead recruiter. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Hearing Fayetteville tight end C.J. O'Grady has received an offer from Texas. He plans to visit Arkansas on Saturday.

Highland receiver Deon Stewart reports he has been offered by Ole Miss and Southern Miss. He plans to visit Arkansas on March 1.

Defensive lineman Jozie Milton of Clinton, La. has been offered by West Virginia. He plans to visit the Hogs on Saturday. Arkansas was the first to offer.

Tight end C.J. O'Grady said he will be visiting Arkansas on Saturday. Told Texas offered him, but wanted to him to visit this weekend to make it official.

Highland athlete Avery Johnson has received an offer from Southern Miss. He also has an offer from Arkansas State.
