Thursday recruiting tidbits

Fayetteville's C.J. O'Grady, Big 7 Football Co-Newcomer of the Year.

Fayetteville tight end C.J. O'Grady will visit Arkansas on Saturday. Texas called on Wednesday and wanted him to visit Austin this weekend. He plans to visit the Longhorns March 1 and will be officially offered once he gets on campus.

There's a good possibility that O'Grady will receive an offer from Arkansas during his Saturday visit.

Arkansas offensive line signee Frank Ragnow, 6-6, 291, 5.0 Victoria (Minn.) Chanhassen is averaging about 12 points and 10 rebounds for his school's basketball team. They wrap up their regular season Friday before heading into the playoffs.

Nashville junior receiver La'Michael Pettway is averaging about 17 points and 15 rebounds in basketball.

In addition to O'Grady, the Hogs are expected to host six others on Saturday.

Penn State is the latest school to show interest in North Little Rock receiver K.J. Hill, who plans to visit Arkansas on March 1.

Arizona State and Oklahoma are also starting to show interest in K.J. Hill.

Southern Miss is showing strong interest in Bryant offensive lineman Cameron Davis, who plans to visit Arkansas on Saturday. Arkansas State has offered. He recently recorded a 275 bench press, 240 power clean and ran a 5.2 in the 40. He weighed in at 262 pounds and measured 6-4.

Auburn is now showing interest in Hope sophomore defensive end McTelvin Agim. He has offers from Arkansas, Baylor and Clemson. The Hogs were first to offer.

Agim has a 300 plus bench press and a 285 power clean. Hope plans to test next week and expects Agim to make big jumps in his numbers.

In recent testing, Jonesboro sophomore running back Denzel Mitchell recorded a 285 bench press, 375 squat, 265 power clean, 33-inch vertical, 4.29 pro-shuttle and a 7.08 L-Drill. He did not run the 40 because of a tight hamstring.

Bryant sophomore defensive lineman Cameron Murray, 6-3, 275 recorded a 270 bench press, 265 power clean and ran a 5.2 in the 40.

Bryant running back-safety Brendan Young, 6-1, 200, 4.5 recorded a 255 bench press and 265 power clean.

Pine Bluff Coach Bobby Bolding reports 2016 tight end-defensive end John Tate receiving an offer from Ole Miss. He also has offers from Louisville and Arkansas State.
