Smothers wins SEC award

FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas center Mitch Smothers has been named the Southeastern Conference Lineman of the Week.

The award was announced Monday after Smothers helped the Razorbacks gain 291 yards rushing and 300 yards passing in a 63-28 win over FCS opponent Tennessee-Martin. Smothers graded out at 91 percent for the game.

Arkansas travels to Oxford, Mississippi, to take on No. 19 Ole Miss on Saturday.
