BEAVERTON, Ore. — Arkansas running back target Chase Hayden's ability in the open field exposed some of the top linebacker prospects in the nation during the 1-on-1's at The Opening at Nike headquarters on Friday.
Hayden, 5-11, 185 pounds, 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Collierville (Tenn.) St. George's Independent School, has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Tennessee, Michigan, South Carolina, Missouri, Louisville, Arizona and others.
He was the best of four of five reps against the best linebackers in the nation. He named Arkansas his leader after a June 23 visit to Fayetteville.
Hayden, who rushed for 2,625 yards 37 touchdowns as a junior, will likely see his national stock rise among the nation's elite prospects after his performance during the three-day event.
