— Arkansas pitcher signee Wade Beasley will forego his college eligibility and sign with the Milwaukee Brewers, his agent confirmed to WholeHogSports in a text message Monday.

Beasley, from Horatio, is in Phoenix at the Brewers' spring training facility and is expected to sign Tuesday, said Craig Rose, who is representing him. The Brewers drafted Beasley with the 725th overall pick in the 24th round of the MLB Draft last month.

He is expected to receive a signing bonus of $257,500.

Beasley (6-3, 210 pounds) committed to Arkansas in August 2016 and signed with the Razorbacks last November. His fastball is clocked at 93-94 mph and Baseball America rated him the fourth-best draft prospect out of the Arkansas high school ranks this year.

Arkansas is losing both of its drafted signees this summer. Junior college catcher Josh Breaux signed for around $1.1 million after he was drafted by the New York Yankees in the second round.
