Razorbacks blank UNC-Greensboro in opener

The University of Arkansas opened the season with a 3-0 victory Thursday at North Carolina-Greensboro.

The Razorbacks outshot the Spartans by a 27-2 margin, including a 14-1 edge in the shots on goal category.

Taylor Malham scored on a pass from Stefani Doyle in the 63rd minute to put Arkansas up 1-0.

Bryana Hunter gathered in a rebound close to the 6-yard box and put it past the Spartans’ goalkeeper to extend the Razorbacks’ lead in the 78th minute.

Parker Goins connected on an open strike six minutes later to cap the scoring.
