NOTABLE Alabama will be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who injured his ankle during the first half of the Crimson Tide’s 35-13 victory over Tennessee last week. Mac Jones, a redshirt sophomore, will make his first career start for Alabama….The Crimson Tide are ranked No. 1 for the sixth time in the past 11 meetings against the Razorbacks. Arkansas is 4-20 all-time in games vs. No. 1 teams and has lost eight consecutive games vs. No. 1-ranked teams since defeating No 1 LSU in 2007….Alabama has scored a touchdown on the first play of the game the past two seasons against Arkansas. Tagovailoa threw a 76-yard touchdown pass to tight end Irv Smith Jr. on the first play of the Crimson Tide’s 65-31 victory last season in Fayetteville, and running back Damien Harris ran for a 75-yard touchdown on the first play of Alabama’s 41-9 victory in 2017….Arkansas enters on a 15-game SEC losing streak, which is the 11th longest in league history and two games shy of the school record of 17 between 2012-14.
