Tip-off time changed for Arkansas-Abilene Christian game

FAYETTEVILLE — Game time for Arkansas’ home matchup against Abilene Christian next week has been changed, it was announced Friday.

The Razorbacks were originally scheduled to tip off against the Wildcats at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, but the game will now begin at 4 p.m. SEC Network will televise the game.

Abilene Christian is 7-1 this season with KenPom top-200 wins over East Tennessee State and Austin Peay. Its only loss of the season came at No. 14 Texas Tech, 51-44, on Dec. 9.

The Wildcats do not have a player who is averaging 10-plus points per game, but they have three scoring at least 9.8 points. As a team, Abilene Christian is shooting 44% from the floor and 35.3% from 3-point range.

Through seven games, the Wildcats have turned opponents over on 31% of their offensive possessions, according to KenPom data, and limited teams to 17.3% beyond the arc, which is the fourth-best mark nationally.

After a week off, Arkansas (6-0) returns to play Sunday against Oral Roberts. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Bud Walton Arena, and the game will air on SEC Network.
