Arkansas-Texas start delayed

The start time for Arkansas’ game against Texas on Saturday night in Houston will be delayed.

The Razorbacks and Longhorns were scheduled to throw a first pitch at 7 p.m., but an extra-inning game earlier in the day altered the schedule at the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic, and the teams will now play at 8:35 p.m.

The game will be televised by AT&T SportsNet.

According to event organizers, a game cannot begin at the College Classic until at least one hour after the conclusion of the game that precedes it. The day's first game between Missouri and Oklahoma lasted 3 hours, 50 minutes, delaying the start of the second game between LSU and Baylor by an hour.

Missouri defeated Oklahoma 8-7 in 10 innings, and Baylor defeated LSU 6-4.

Arkansas (7-1) and Texas (9-1) each lost their first games of the season Friday at the College Classic. The Razorbacks lost 6-3 to Oklahoma and the Longhorns lost 4-3 to LSU.
