FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will try snap its first two-game losing streak of the season, after losing to Mississippi State and Florida this week.
The Razorbacks (21-7, 9-6 Southeastern Conference) can likely earn the No. 5 seed in the upcoming SEC Tournament with a victory. They would play the winner of the No. 12 and No. 13 seeds on Thursday.
Arkansas will also try to win 10 SEC games for just the second time in school history. The other time was in the 2011-12 season. Alexis Tolefree and Kiara Williams will play their final regular season game in Bud Walton Arena this afternoon as the Razorbacks celebrate senior day.
Tolefree, a 5-8 guard from Conway, averages a team-leading 18.7 points per game in SEC play. Williams, a 6-1 swing player from Little Rock, has struggled with injuries this season, playing in just 15 games and averaging a little more than 10 minutes a game. She’s averaging 4.3 points but has 14 blocked shots.
The Lady Tigers snapped a three-game skid with a win over Vanderbilt on Thursday. … LSU has won four in a row over Arkansas. The Razorbacks’ last win was Jan. 21, 2016, when Arkansas won 48-44 in Baton Rouge.
