Arkansas receiving more votes in AP poll

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas, following its 69-59 win over Texas A&M on Saturday, remains outside The Associated Press Top 25, but it garnered its most votes of the season on Monday.

The Razorbacks, off to a 12-1 start for the first time since the 2008-09 season, received 38 votes, the third most among teams receiving votes. Arkansas last appeared in the AP Top 25 on Jan. 1, 2018.

Also immediately outside the top 25 is Iowa and Seton Hall, which received 63 and 48 votes, respectively. No. 25 Colorado got 81 votes.

Arkansas is also receiving votes in the coaches poll. The Razorbacks received 14 after their win at Indiana on Dec. 29, and 16 on Monday.

The Razorbacks play two games away from home this week, traveling to LSU on Wednesday and Ole Miss on Saturday. The Tigers received two votes in the coaches poll this week after a 78-64 win at Tennessee to open SEC play.

Auburn (No. 5) and Kentucky (14) are the only SEC teams in the AP Top 25.
