FAYETTEVILLE — Mason Jones picked up another SEC weekly award on Monday.

The junior guard was named SEC co-player of the week for his play in Arkansas’ 1-1 week against Tennessee and Georgia. Jones averaged 31.5 points, shot better than 57 percent from the floor and finished with eight assists in the two games.

This is Jones’ fourth SEC player of the week honor of the season. He is the third player in league history to be a four-time honoree, and the first since 2009 - Jodie Meeks, Kentucky.

"Mason’s growth as a player has been really, really fun to be a part of and watch," Razorbacks coach Eric Musselman said.

Jones, the SEC’s leading scorer at 21.3 per game, poured in 37 points in Arkansas’ 86-69 win over the Vols last Wednesday, surpassing 1,000 career points in the process. He has scored 30-plus points seven times in 2019-20, and nine times in his Arkansas career.

Jones then added 26 points in the Razorbacks’ road loss at Georgia on Saturday. He knocked down 21 of 24 free throws last week as well.

Kentucky guard Immanuel Quickley shared the award with Jones. Quickley averaged 24 points and 8.5 rebounds last week in wins over Texas A&M and Auburn. He hit 9 of 17 3-point attempts, including 8 of 12 against the Aggies.

Arkansas (18-11, 6-10 SEC) returns to play Wednesday against LSU in the regular season home finale. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. on SEC Network.
