— Arkansas junior Mason Jones clinched the SEC scoring title Saturday.

Jones, who played in 30 of the Razorbacks' 31 games, finished the regular season with 661 points for an average of 22 points per game. That is the highest per-game average by an SEC player in the last four seasons.

Georgia's Anthony Edwards scored 604 points in 31 games to finish second behind Jones, who is the first Razorback to lead the SEC in scoring.

Jones scored 30 or more points in nine games this season, including Saturday when he scored 30 in a 77-69 loss at Texas A&M.

Jones' season-best performance was a 41-point output against Tulsa on Dec. 14, and he scored 40 in an overtime game against Auburn on Feb. 4. His 36-point outing against LSU on Wednesday was his fifth this season with at least that many points.

Including postseason games, the Arkansas record for points in a season is 786 by Todd Day in 1990-91. Jones' total this season ranks seventh in program history.
