After announcing he was entering the NCAA's transfer portal in mid-January, Arkansas freshman receiver TQ Jackson has found his transfer destination.

Jackson, who caught one pass in his brief Razorbacks career, has committed to SMU, according to a post on his Twitter account. A native of Jefferson, Texas, he played in three games - Ole Miss, San Jose State, Texas A&M - in 2019.

Jackson was a 4-star prospect, rated the No. 42 wide receiver in the country and No. 41 overall player in the state of Texas out of high school by Rivals. He was one of four 4-star receivers who signed with Arkansas in former coach Chad Morris’ 2019 recruiting class.

Jackson chose the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Missouri, Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and other programs.

When he announced his intent to transfer in January, Jackson wrote that he had been battling depression and “a lot of problems for some time” and was in search of “a new home where I can get back to my old self.”

On May 11, Jackson tweeted that he would not be returning to Arkansas.
