FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas’ 2020-21 men’s basketball schedule will include a game against Texas-Arlington, according to a report.

CBS college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein tweeted Friday the Razorbacks will host the Mavericks in Fayetteville as part of the upcoming nonconference schedule. No date was given, but it would be the first known nonconference game for Arkansas at Bud Walton Arena next season.

Arkansas is 8-0 all-time against UT-Arlington and 6-0 in games played in Fayetteville. The programs have met three times since the 2010-11 season with the Razorbacks winning 87-74 in 2010; 71-67 in 2016; and 78-60 in 2018.

Former Arkansas guard Jordan Phillips, who transferred in January 2019, will be a junior at UT-Arlington next season. Phillips averaged 1.4 points and 0.7 rebounds in seven games played with the Razorbacks.

Led by coach Chris Ogden, the Mavericks, members of the Sun Belt Conference, finished the 2019-20 season at 14-18 overall and 10-10 in league games.

UT-Arlington is expected to return two of its top three scorers from last season in sophomore guard David Azore (14.0) and freshman Sam Griffin (9.4). Phillips averaged 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 2019-20.

UT-Arlington is the fourth known nonconference opponent on Arkansas' 2020-21 schedule. The Razorbacks are scheduled to face Oklahoma in Tulsa on Dec. 12, host Old Dominion on Dec. 19 in North Little Rock and play at Tulsa on a date to be announced.

Arkansas will also play two games in Las Vegas in the MGM Resorts Main Event on Nov. 20 and 22 in a field with Louisville, San Francisco and Colorado State. An SEC spokesperson confirmed the Razorbacks will also be part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
