The top skill player on what has been an explosive Florida offense in 2020 will miss Saturday’s game against Arkansas.

Gators tight end Kyle Pitts (concussion) will not play against the Razorbacks, Florida coach Dan Mullen said on SEC Nation, and may not travel to Vanderbilt next week. Pitts was knocked out of the Gators’ win over Georgia on Nov. 7 following a big hit from Bulldogs safety Lewis Cine.

“It’s going to be a multi-week deal for him,” Mullen said. “Hopefully we’ll get him back later on down the road this season. The injury that he got in that hit last week (is) a little more complicated than you would originally think.”

Pitts has been one of the best pass catchers in college football this season. He leads Florida with 414 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, which is tied for second most in the Southeastern Conference.

According to Pro Football Focus, Pitts is the highest graded skill-position player in the country (95.4).

Kemore Gamble and Keon Zipperer are Pitts' replacements at tight end. Collectively, they have eight catches for 129 yards and a touchdown this season.

Kickoff for Arkansas-Florida is set for 6 p.m., and the game will air on ESPN.
