Morning kickoff scheduled for Arkansas-Mizzou

University of Arkansas running back Rakeem Boyd (5) celebrates a first down during the Battle Line Rivalry game against the University of Missouri Tigers at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Friday November 29th 2019.

— Arkansas is scheduled to play early for the second consecutive game when it travels to Missouri next week.

The Nov. 28 matchup between the Razorbacks and Tigers is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. and will be televised by SEC Network. The game is scheduled to be played at Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo., after the Tigers moved it from its original location at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

It will be the first time the Arkansas-Missouri game has been played on a Saturday since the Tigers joined the SEC. From 2014-19 the game was played the day after Thanksgiving on CBS.

This is only the third time in the past 25 seasons Arkansas won't play a football game on Black Friday. The Razorbacks played LSU on a Friday 17 times until the series was moved away from Thanksgiving weekend following the 2013 season.

Missouri (2-3) is scheduled to play at South Carolina on Saturday. The Tigers have not played since Halloween due to a scheduled off week and a game against Georgia that was postponed due to a high number of covid-19 quarantines at Mizzou.

The Tigers have won four straight games against Arkansas, including 24-14 last season in Little Rock. All of those games were coached Barry Odom, who is in his first season as the Razorbacks' defensive coordinator.

Odom was replaced at Missouri by Eliah Drinkwitz, who grew up about 40 miles from Arkansas' campus in Alma.
