NOTABLE Lee Mayberry, a former three-time all-conference guard at Arkansas, is in his third season as an assistant coach at ORU. Mayberry holds the Razorbacks’ career record with 291 steals, is second in program history with 729 assists and is third with 1,940 points. From 2014-17, Mayberry was a student and special assistant on the Razorbacks’ men’s basketball staff….Arkansas opens the season ranked No. 14 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. It is the Razorbacks’ highest ranking to open a season since 1995-96….Arkansas returns two double-digit scorers from a year ago in Chelsea Dungee (16.9 points per game) and Amber Ramirez (14.7). The Razorbacks also welcome Destiny Slocum, a former All-Pac-12 guard who averaged 14.9 points at Oregon State last season….ORU senior guard Keni Jo Lippe averaged 18.5 points and 8 rebounds per game last season. Lippe is the Golden Eagles’ only returning starter….ORU junior guard Ariel Walker is an Arkansas native from Ozark. Walker transferred to ORU in the offseason following two seasons at Allen (Kan.) Community College, where she averaged 16.3 points.
