Alexis Tolefree signs professional contract

Arkansas guard Alexis Tolefree flexes after a score against Missouri on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020 at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

Former Arkansas guard Alexis Tolefree has signed her first professional basketball contract.

Tolefree, a 5-8 guard from Conway, signed with KBF Prishtina in Pristina, Kosovo. KBF Prishtina competes in the IP Superliga e Basketbollit, Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL) and the FIBA Europe Cup.

The team is the most successful in Kosovo, having won 14 national championships, 14 national cups and six supercups in the last 14 years.

Tolefree was not selected in the WNBA's draft in April after being named the No. 22 available prospect by ESPNW. She is the second player to sign a professional contract since Mike Neighbors took over as head coach in 2017. Malica Monk signed with Uppsala in Sweden last year.

Tolefree's final season with the Razorbacks included All-SEC first-team honors. She averaged 16.3 points, shot 40 percent from 3-point range and helped guide Arkansas to its first ranking in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll since 2003.
