UA men, women ranked No. 1 in latest poll

The University of Arkansas men's and women's teams are ranked No. 1 in the Boost Treadmill Cross Country national poll after victories at UAB’s Blazer Classic.

The Razorbacks' women totaled 42 points for the team victory while no other school scored under 100 points among the 10-team field, which included five nationally ranked programs.

Arkansas' men totaled 29 points for the team title in defeating Ole Miss (50) for a second time this season.

Amon Kemboi of Arkansas was named SEC male runner of the week Tuesday.

Posting a time of 23:25.5 over the 8,000-meter course, Kemboi won the Blazer Classic by three tenths of a second over Ole Miss' Mario Garcia Romo, and five tenths of a second ahead of the Rebels' Cole Bullock.
