Arkansas co-favorite to win SEC

The No. 13 Arkansas women’s soccer team was picked to win the SEC regular-season championship along with No. 9 Texas A&M by the league’s coaches.

Arkansas and Texas A&M tied for the 2020 SEC championship with 7-1 league records. Arkansas also split the SEC title in 2019.

The Razorbacks finished 12-4 overall and advanced to the third round of the NCAA College Cup last season, while the Aggies went 12-4-1 and earned an appearance in the quarterfinals of the College Cup.

The coaches’ poll, released Tuesday, is rounded out by South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Mississippi, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri, Georgia and Kentucky.

Arkansas opens the season Thursday at No. 6 Duke.
