One of Arkansas’ defensive top targets for the 2022 class is visiting Fayetteville today.

Oklahoma commitment Gentry Williams is making an unofficial visit to Arkansas and is expected to attend the Razorbacks’ basketball game against Arkansas-Little Rock.

Williams, 6-0, 170 pounds, of Tulsa Washington, is rated ESPN’s No. 3 athlete and the No. 59 overall recruit in the nation for the 2022 class.

He made an official visit to Fayetteville in June. A teammate of Keuan Parker, a Razorback freshman cornerback, Williams recorded 47.7 seconds to win the Class 6A 400-meter championship as a freshman and came in second in the 200 meters with a time of 21.14 seconds.

Williams committed to the Sooners on Oct. 18 over Florida, Southern Cal and Missouri.

Arkansas cornerbacks coach Sam Carter is Williams’ lead recruiter and wants him as a cornerback. Williams said defensive coordinator Barry Odom visited his school on Monday.
