Former 5-star and Oklahoma redshirt sophomore receiver Jadon Haselwood has announced plans to transfer to Arkansas.

Haselwood, 6-3, 202 pounds, had 39 receptions for 399 yards and 6 touchdowns this past season for the Sooners and recorded 19 receptions for 272 yards and 1 touchdown as a redshirt freshman.

He caught 62 passes for 736 yards and 7 touchdowns in his three-year career.

Haselwood initially chose the Sooners over Georgia, Miami, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Michigan and numerous other programs after playing at Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Ga.

He won Class 3A state titles in 2016 and 2018 under current Arkansas running backs coach Jimmy Smith.

Razorbacks fans greeted his announcement on Twitter with wild enthusiasm. His brother, Darrin Hood, said Haselwood and his family are as thrilled about his decision as the Arkansas fan base.

"We are, too," Hood said. "We love the city and we’re back with Coach Smith."

ESPN rated Haselwood a 5-star prospect, the No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 6 overall prospect in the nation for the 2019 class. He will be the first 5-star receiver to play for the Razorbacks in the modern recruiting services era.

Haselwood plans to enroll in January and is eligible to play for the Razorbacks next season.
