Nash picks Memphis as transfer destination

Arkansas receiver Shamar Nash takes part in a drill Friday, March 1, 2019, during practice at the university practice facility in Fayetteville.

— Former Arkansas receiver Shamar Nash will transfer to Memphis in his hometown.

Nash, who never played in two seasons with the Razorbacks, could have up to four seasons of eligibility remaining at Memphis. Nash opted out of playing at Arkansas in 2020 over covid-19 concerns.

Nash was a 4-star recruit out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Prior to transferring to IMG Academy, Nash played high school football at Memphis Central.

Nash is at least the second transferring Arkansas player to select a new school since the Razorbacks' season ended. Cornerback Jarques McClellion has announced he is transferring to Florida State in his home state.
