FAYETTEVILLE — Louisiana Tech has sold all of its available tickets for a home baseball series against No. 1 Arkansas this week.

The Bulldogs are capping attendance at around 1,000 at their home ballpark, Love Field. Tickets are being limited to season-ticket holders, official party for home and opposing teams, and 100 Louisiana Tech students.

A midweek series at the park between Louisiana Tech and No. 3 Ole Miss next week is also sold out.

"As much as we would love to have a full stadium, we are abiding by state guidelines," Louisiana Tech athletics director Eric Wood said. Wood is a former associate athletics director at Arkansas.

Arkansas and Louisiana Tech are scheduled to play Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. All three games will be televised by Cox Sports TV and streamed on ESPN+.

The Bulldogs (7-3) are undefeated at home this season with six wins over Southern and McNeese State. Louisiana Tech reopened its renovated stadium this year. It suffered significant damage during a 2019 tornado.

Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said last week he expects a rowdy environment when the Razorbacks (10-0) come to town.

"I think it's all sold out, so they can be loud and proud there," Van Horn told Swatters Club on March 1.

Arkansas is playing Louisiana Tech for the third time in five seasons. The Razorbacks won two of three games over the Bulldogs in 2019 at Baum-Walker Stadium, and split a two-game midweek series at Louisiana Tech in 2017 when Arkansas rallied from a nine-run deficit to win 13-10.

The Bulldogs are coached by Lane Burroughs, a former assistant to Van Horn at Northwestern (La.) State.

"That's going to be a real challenge for us because that's another veteran team that we played a couple of years ago down there, and they beat us one game and we had to come back from a big deficit to win Game 2," Van Horn told Swatters Club. "They've got a good program."
