UA women No. 15 in final AP poll

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas’ women’s basketball team stayed put in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll of the season on Monday.

The Razorbacks remained at No. 15 this week. It is their highest ranking in the final AP poll since 1995.

Arkansas now awaits its NCAA Tournament seed and matchup Monday night. The selection show is set to begin at 6 p.m. Central on ESPN.

The Razorbacks are 19-8 overall and finished 9-6 in SEC play during the regular season. Arkansas has not played since March 4, when it lost 69-60 to Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament in Greenville, S.C.

ESPN women’s college basketball bracketologist Charlie Creme placed Arkansas as a 4 seed in his bracket projection on Sunday. The Razorbacks are in line to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015.

Other SEC teams in this week's poll include Texas A&M (4), South Carolina (5), Georgia (10), Tennessee (13) and Kentucky (18).
