FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas right hander Kevin Kopps was named SEC co-pitcher of the week Monday.

Kopps pitched 6 2/3 innings in two appearances during the Razorbacks' series win at Tennessee. Kopps' 125-pitch weekend included six strikeouts.

He did not allow a run until the Vols scored on a two-out single in the ninth inning Sunday, which snapped Kopps' consecutive scoreless innings streak of 28.

Kopps earned wins in both games of the Tennessee series. He pitched three scoreless innings in the first game of the series and pitched 3 2/3 innings in the finale. He entered the series opener with the game tied and the finale with the Razorbacks trailing by one run.

Kopps has an NCAA-best ERA of 0.80. In conference games, Kopps has a 0.58 ERA.

He shared this week's award with South Carolina's Brett Kerry, who shut out Kentucky on Saturday. Kerry, who made his first start of the season, struck out 10 batters.

Kopps has won pitcher of the week twice this season. He also won the award April 26 following the South Carolina series.
