FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas pitcher Peyton Pallette will likely miss the remainder of the 2021 season, Razorbacks coach Dave Van Horn said Tuesday.

The right hander left Friday's game against Florida in the sixth inning with an apparent injury to this throwing elbow. Van Horn did not specify the injury.

"Not 100% sure exactly, but he won't pitch during (the SEC Tournament)," Van Horn said.

When asked if there was a chance Pallette could pitch during regional play, Van Horn added, "I'd say probably not."

Pallette, who is 1-2 this season with a 4.02 ERA, has started 11 games, including 7 games in SEC play, and made 15 appearances.

He had been the Razorbacks’ Game 2 starter on SEC weekends, but was replaced by Caleb Bolden in the rotation for the final series of the regular season. Van Horn said Pallette was not injured prior to the series.
