FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is one of 13 semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award, which is presented annually to the best offensive line in college football.

It is the second time the Razorbacks have been a semifinalist for the award. Arkansas was a finalist in 2015 when the award was established.

Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman was the Razorbacks’ offensive line coach in 2015. Pittman also had lines that were semifinalists for the award at Georgia each year between 2017-19, and in 2018 his Bulldogs’ offensive line was a finalist.

The Razorbacks’ offensive line is coached this season by Cody Kennedy, a former graduate assistant for Pittman at Georgia. Kennedy has been nominated for the Broyles Award as the nation’s most outstanding assistant coach.

Arkansas’ line has included six starters this season — tackles Myron Cunningham and Dalton Wagner, guards Beaux Limmer and Brady Latham, center Ricky Stromberg, and Ty Clary, who has started and played at multiple positions.

The Razorbacks are strong in several categories that demonstrate solid offensive line play, including rushing yards per game (222.3) and sacks allowed per game (2). Arkansas ranks second and sixth, respectively, in the SEC in those metrics.

Other semifinalists for this year’s award are Air Force, Appalachian State, Baylor, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Oregon State and Wisconsin. Finalists for the award will be announced Dec. 7.
