FAYETTEVILLE — Paper tickets for Arkansas’ Oct. 23 game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff were mailed Tuesday, according to the Razorbacks’ athletics department.

The game, which will be played at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, will be the only hosted by the Razorbacks this year to require physical tickets. Mobile ticketing is used for Arkansas’ on-campus games in Fayetteville.

Kevin Trainor, a spokesman for the Razorbacks, said hand-held scanners used for Arkansas’ last two games at War Memorial Stadium became obsolete due to a software update in December 2019. Trainor said the pedestal scanners that are located at the entrances to the Razorbacks’ on-campus venues are not meant to be transported frequently.

“Based on all those factors, a decision was made to proceed with physical tickets for the game at War Memorial Stadium vs. UAPB,” Trainor said.

Fans who have questions or concerns are asked to contact the Razorback Ticket Center at 479-575-5151.

According to Trainor, approximately 33,700 tickets have been allocated for the game as of Wednesday. The stadium capacity is 54,120.

Arkansas has not played in Little Rock since a 24-14 loss to Missouri in the 2019 season finale. Prior to last season, the Razorbacks played a game in the city each season since 1932, including every season since War Memorial Stadium opened in 1948.

The UAPB game will be Arkansas’ only game at the stadium until 2023, when the Razorbacks are under contract to open the season there against Western Carolina. Arkansas is under contract to play four games at the stadium through 2025.
