Home games vs. Kentucky, Auburn highlight Hogs’ basketball schedule

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas’ men’s basketball schedule for the 2021-22 season is complete.
The Razorbacks released their 13-game nonconference slate in August, and on Thursday the Southeastern Conference announced the league schedule for the upcoming season.
Arkansas’ first true road game will not come until its SEC opener against Mississippi State on Dec. 29. Its SEC home opener is scheduled against Vanderbilt on Jan. 4.
Notable home conference games include Missouri on Jan. 12, Mississippi State on Feb. 5, Auburn on Feb. 8, Tennessee on Feb. 19 and Kentucky on Feb. 26.
The Razorbacks are scheduled to play back-to-back road games in conference play once, against Alabama on Feb. 12 and Missouri on Feb. 15. Arkansas has consecutive SEC home contests on three occasions.
In nonconference play, Arkansas will play nine home games, highlighted by the season opener against Mercer on Nov. 9 and West Virginia on Jan. 29 as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
The Razorbacks are also scheduled to host Central Arkansas and Arkansas-Little Rock in back-to-back games on Dec. 1 and Dec. 4, respectively.
The Razorbacks are scheduled to play four neutral-site games before Christmas, including two matchups at the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City against Kansas State on Nov. 22 and either Cincinnati or Illinois the following day.
They are also scheduled to play Oklahoma at BOK Center in Tulsa on Dec. 11 and Hofstra at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock on Dec. 18.
The Razorbacks are coming off a 25-7 season in 2020-21 under Eric Musselman in which they advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
