Report: Williams agrees to deal with Thunder

Former Arkansas All-SEC forward Jaylin Williams has agreed to a four-year, $8.2 million rookie contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported on Saturday.

Williams, 20, was the No. 34 overall pick in the NBA Draft after playing two seasons at Arkansas. He averaged 10.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.1 blocked shots and 31.7 minutes in 37 games for the Razorbacks as a sophomore.

He played a key role in the program's back-to-back appearances in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons. In eight NCAA Tournament games, he averaged 8.5 points and 8.4 rebounds.

Williams, who starred at Fort Smith Northside High School, is playing for the Thunder’s NBA Summer League team.
