Former Arkansas linebacker Andrew Parker recently announced his transfer destination.

Parker, who in 2021 completed his redshirt junior season, will continue his football career at Appalachian State, a member of the Sun Belt Conference. He entered the NCAA transfer portal on Jan. 20, less than three weeks after the Razorbacks’ season ended.

In three seasons on the field, Parker recorded 24 tackles, including a career-best 12 in Arkansas’ 2020 season. He finished with four stops in the Razorbacks’ season-ending loss to No. 1 Alabama on Dec. 12, 2020.

Parker also had four tackles against Rice to begin the 2021 season.

According to Pro Football Focus, Parker played 65 defensive snaps last season, 63 on kickoff return, 45 on punt return and 5 on kickoff coverage.

A native of New Orleans and a former 3-star prospect, he signed with Arkansas over scholarship offers from programs such as Texas A&M, Texas and TCU. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Parker graduated from Arkansas in May with a degree in physics.
